Sâ Benjamin Traoré is an Associate Professor at the African Institute for Research in Economics and Social Sciences, Faculty of Governance, Economics and Social Sciences, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (Rabat, Morocco).
He holds a PhD from the University of Neuchâtel and an LLM from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
Professor Traoré previously worked as the African Coalition for Corporate Accountability (ACCA) project manager at the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria (South Africa). He also worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (Geneva) and as a Lecturer at the University of Neuchâtel. He is a co-founder of the Great Lake Training Programme in International Humanitarian Law.
He is the author of a book on The Interpretation of United Nations Security Council Resolutions (Helbing, Basel, 2020) and numerous academic articles. His academic work covers various subjects ranging from Public international law, the law of international organizations, the use of force in international law, human rights, international humanitarian law and Business and human rights.
